Skrypka Sisters

Skrypka Sisters chose their name with a nod to their Ukrainian family heritage.  Skrypka, the Ukrainian word for violin,  is also an ancestral name for these sisters, and represents the generations of family who have found joy and resilience through music and performance. It is this legacy of joy and love of performance that the Skrypka Sisters carry on today.

They began their musical training as toddlers at the Mount  Royal Conservatory, eventually choosing the violin and continuing their training in Suzuki method. Growing up together while perfecting their musical craft has allowed them to develop a musical voice that only siblings can have.

Busking has provided an outlet for their love of performance, and allowed them to develop a large repertoire, including fiddle, classical, pop and movie music. They have performed at multiple venues including weddings, markets, corporate events, and private parties.
